Extracting Microsoft Clipart and Word Art for use in Fronter

Microsoft Clipart found in Word, Publisher, PowerPoint etc is very useful and contains a wide range of images and clipart. This can be extracted for use in Fronter by means of a very simple technique which can also be used on Microsoft Word Art.

Step 1

Create a new Microsoft Word document and then go and find the clipart that you require. You can add one or more images or one or more word art creations at this point.

Step 2

Save your MS Word document as a Web Page. To do this click the Office Button and choose Save As, then from the drop down list choose Web Page. DO NOT choose Single File Web Page.

You can call the file anything you like but it is easiest to leave it named Doc1.htm

Step 3

Now look in your My Documents area on your PC's hard drive. You will see that you have a new Doc1.htm file and a new Doc1_files folder.

 Open the Doc1_files folder.

Here you will now have each image that you had in your MS Word file as a separate image. Sometimes there may be more than one copy of your file.

You can ignore the other files in the folder.

The best advice is to now rename the files from image001.jpg for example, to penquin.jpg etc.

Step 4

You can now use Fronter to upload these image files in the normal way.
